Kahl, August 19, 2010 - The SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES AG (SINGULUS) subsidiary STANGL Semiconductor Equipment AG changes its market appearance and company name. The STANGL Semiconductor Equipment AG is renamed to “SINGULUS STANGL SOLAR GmbH” (STANGL). The name change and new legal form were entered into the Commercial Register of the Local Court Munich on August 16, 2010. Managing Directors of the company are Dr.-Ing. Stefan Rinck, Chief Executive Officer of the parent company SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES AG, and Mr. Andreas Nellner.

Dr.-Ing. Stefan Rinck, Chief Executive Officer of SINGULUS comments: “With the new name and the new logo we will also visualize that STANGL is an important element of our group of companies and that we are offering a wide range of machines to our customers in the field of solar cell production. ”Dr.-Ing. Rinck adds: “Our unique process technology know-how for wet-chemical and vacuum coating processes as well as for automation technology enables us to become a competitive supplier of highly efficient photovoltaic manufacturing systems. In the future we will offer the entire cell manufacturing, integrate individual production steps and reduce the complexity of production. The combination of STANGL and SINGULUS provides a very good basis for this."

Together with STANGL SINGULUS offers modern plant systems for silicon and thin-film solar technology, which will provide cell manufacturers a significant potential to improve cell efficiency with simultaneous cost reductions in the production.

The expansion of the strategy - being both OEM supplier and system provider - will open new and additional opportunities for the company.

The SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES AG is the global market leader for machines and equipment for optical storage media providing the entire value-added chain of the production of optical discs: the machines range from mastering and injection molding to replication lines. So far, SINGULUS has delivered more than 80 Blu-ray production machines to customers around the world.
